Cancellation and Refund Policy

This Cancellation and Refund Policy ("Policy") applies to all subscriptions, credit purchases, and payments made on the DUIID platform (the "Service"), operated by Manaspurti Technologies Private Limited ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). By making any payment on the Service, you agree to the terms of this Policy.

This Policy is issued in compliance with the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, and the Reserve Bank of India's guidelines on digital payments.

Quick Summary:
  • Subscriptions: Cancel anytime. No refund for the current billing period.
  • Credit Packs: Refundable within 7 days if unused. Non-refundable after 7 days or if any credits are consumed.
  • Free tier: No payment, no refund needed.

1. Subscription Cancellation

1.1 How to Cancel

You can cancel your subscription at any time directly from the Service:

  1. Log in to your DUIID account.
  2. Navigate to Settings → Billing.
  3. Click "Cancel Subscription."
  4. Confirm the cancellation.

Alternatively, you may request cancellation by emailing contact@duiid.com from your registered email address.

1.2 Effect of Cancellation

Upon cancellation, the following applies:

  • Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period.
  • You retain access to all paid features until the billing period expires.
  • At the end of the billing period, your account automatically downgrades to the Free tier.
  • No further charges will be made to your payment method.
  • Unused Credits allocated with the subscription are forfeited when the subscription ends.

1.3 No Auto-Renewal After Cancellation

Once cancelled, your subscription will not auto-renew. If you wish to resubscribe, you may do so at any time from Settings → Billing. A new billing cycle will commence from the date of resubscription.

2. Refund Policy for Subscriptions

2.1 Monthly Subscriptions

Monthly subscription payments are non-refundable. When you cancel your subscription, you continue to have access to all paid features until the end of the current billing cycle. No partial or pro-rated refund is provided for the remaining days of the billing cycle.

Example: If your billing cycle runs from January 1 to January 31, and you cancel on January 15, you will have access until January 31. You will not receive a refund for the remaining 16 days, and no charge will be made on February 1.

2.2 Annual Subscriptions (If Applicable)

If annual subscriptions are offered in the future, the following refund schedule will apply:

  • Cancellation within 7 days of purchase: Full refund (minus payment gateway fees, if any).
  • Cancellation within 8-30 days of purchase: 75% pro-rated refund.
  • Cancellation after 30 days: No refund for the current annual cycle; subscription remains active until the end of the annual period.

2.3 Free Trial Periods

If the Service offers a free trial period for any subscription tier, no charge will be made during the trial period. To avoid being charged, you must cancel before the trial period ends. No refund is available if you are charged because you did not cancel before the trial expired.

3. Refund Policy for Credit Packs

Credit Packs are one-time purchases that provide virtual Credits used for AI-powered features (name generation, logo creation, brand kit generation, etc.).

3.1 Refundable Period

Credit Pack purchases are eligible for a full refund if ALL of the following conditions are met:

  1. The refund request is made within 7 days (168 hours) of the purchase date.
  2. No Credits from the purchased pack have been consumed.
  3. The purchase was not made using a promotional or discounted offer that explicitly stated "non-refundable."

3.2 Non-Refundable Scenarios

Credit Packs are non-refundable if:

  • Any Credits from the pack have been consumed (even 1 credit).
  • More than 7 days have passed since the purchase date.
  • The purchase was made using a promotional discount that stated "non-refundable."
  • The account has been terminated due to a violation of the Terms and Conditions.

3.3 How to Request a Credit Pack Refund

To request a refund for an unused Credit Pack within the 7-day window:

  1. Email contact@duiid.com with the subject "Credit Pack Refund Request."
  2. Include your registered email address and the transaction ID (found in Settings → Billing).
  3. We will verify that no Credits have been consumed and process the refund.
  4. Refunds will be credited to the original payment method within 7-10 business days.

4. Refund Processing

4.1 Timeline

Approved refunds will be processed as follows:

  • Refund initiation: Within 3 business days of approval.
  • Credit to original payment method: 7-10 business days from initiation (depending on your bank/card issuer).
  • UPI refunds: Typically within 3-5 business days.
  • Card refunds: Typically within 7-10 business days, as per RBI guidelines.

4.2 Original Payment Method

All refunds are processed to the original payment method used for the purchase. We cannot refund to a different bank account, card, or UPI ID. If the original payment method is no longer active, the refund will be returned to the bank/card issuer, and you will need to coordinate with your bank to retrieve the funds.

4.3 Payment Gateway Fees

Razorpay (the payment gateway) charges transaction processing fees. In most cases, the Company absorbs these fees and refunds the full amount. However, for refunds requested due to user error (e.g., wrong plan purchased), the payment gateway processing fee (typically 2-3%) may be deducted from the refund amount.

5. Special Refund Circumstances

5.1 Service Outage

If the Service experiences a verified outage lasting more than 24 consecutive hours that prevents you from using paid features, you may request a pro-rated credit to your account for the affected period. This will be applied as additional Credits or an extended subscription period, at the Company's discretion.

5.2 Accidental Duplicate Charge

If you are accidentally charged twice for the same subscription or Credit Pack, the duplicate charge will be refunded in full within 3 business days of verification. Email contact@duiid.com with both transaction IDs to report a duplicate charge.

5.3 Unauthorized Charges

If you notice unauthorized charges on your account, report them immediately to contact@duiid.com. We will investigate and, if confirmed as unauthorized, refund the charge within 3 business days. You may also need to report unauthorized charges to your bank/card issuer and Razorpay.

5.4 Account Termination by Company

If the Company terminates your account due to a violation of the Terms and Conditions, no refund will be provided for any active subscription or unused Credits, regardless of the remaining billing period.

6. Chargebacks and Disputes

If you believe a charge is incorrect or unauthorized, please contact us at contact@duiid.com before initiating a chargeback with your bank or card issuer. We will work with you to resolve the issue promptly.

Initiating a fraudulent or unwarranted chargeback may result in:

  • Immediate suspension of your account and all paid features.
  • Forfeiture of all Credits and subscription benefits.
  • Permanent ban from the Service.
  • Reporting to credit bureaus and Razorpay's fraud database, if applicable.
